What is the Jeep Wrangler 392

Blue Jeep Wrangler 392

Exploring the Power and Performance

The Jeep Wrangler 392 set to retire after the 2024 model year, will continue it’s legacy a little longer with the Final Edition coming out in 2025. This will be a limited availability of 3,700 units.

The Jeep Wrangler 392 has a rich history that traces back to the iconic Chrysler 392 HEMI engine of the 1950s. This legendary powerplant was first introduced in 1957 and quickly became renowned for its impressive performance in both street and racing applications. The “392” in its name refers to the engine’s displacement in cubic inches, equivalent to 6.4 liters.

Fast forward to 2020, and Jeep revived the 392 moniker for its most powerful Wrangler ever. The modern Wrangler 392 features a 6.4-liter V8 engine that produces a whopping 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. This powerhouse allows the Wrangler 392 to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, a feat previously unheard of in the Wrangler lineup. Interestingly, the Wrangler 392 isn’t just about straight-line speed; it also boasts impressive off-road capabilities, including a 48:1 crawl ratio and the ability to ford up to 34.5 inches of water.
