With our High Clearance Belly skid you’ll gain 1 3/4 inch of clearance on 97-02 models and nearly 3 inch on 03-06 model years, a noticeable difference when playing in the rocks.
Why the difference in model years? The 97-02 TJs only came with the small 231 Tcase. In 2003, Jeep released the Rubicon model which had a much larger 241OR tcase, which forced Jeep to use a lower hanging belly pan. To cut costs, used the same belly pans on all 03-06 models.
Recommended use of 1 inch Body lift, 1 inch Motor lift, SYE for the 231 and CV driveshaft
Slight exhaust modifications may be required
