Description

TNT Customs JK Dana 44 to ZJ Rear Axle Truss

Upgrade your Jeep Grand Cherokee ZJ with the confidence and strength of TNT Customs’ Rear Axle Truss, designed specifically for swapping in a JK Dana 44 rear axle. Engineered from heavy-duty ¼-inch steel for the main truss structure and CNC-cut for precision, this weld-on truss simplifies axle installation while significantly improving suspension geometry for lifted applications.

Raised upper control arm (UCA) mounts and high-clearance lower control arm (LCA) mounts (available separately) allow near-factory handling and drivability with up to 3–3.5 inches of lift—ideal for both street and trail use.

Key Features:

  • ¼-Inch Steel Plate Main Truss – Maximum durability for demanding off-road use

  • Raised UCA Mounting (Optional) – Optimizes geometry for lifted suspensions

  • CNC Cut & Jig Welded – Ensures accurate fit and structural strength

  • Axle Swap Made Easy – UCA mounts align with ZJ factory positions

  • Proudly Made in the USA

Optional Brackets & Mounts:

  • Driver-side UCA mount with heavy-duty trackbar mount

  • Passenger-side UCA mount

  • Heavy-duty coil buckets & shock mounts

  • High-clearance LCA mounts

Installation Notes:

  • Minimum 3” lift required

  • Control arm mounts not compatible with factory arms

  • Adjustable upper control arms recommended

  • Fixed lower arms may result in ~1” rearward stretch

  • Welding required – professional installation strongly recommended

The slight wheelbase stretch created by our LCA mounts helps improve departure angle and tire clearance—especially beneficial when trimming ZJ wheel wells for oversized tires. Our HD coil buckets ensure correct coil placement even with the axle shifted rearward.

Perfect For:

ZJ Grand Cherokee owners upgrading to a JK Dana 44 axle with improved strength, geometry, and off-road capability.
